The main specialty of prestressed stmml strands are high strength and good relaxation performance, and they are relatively straight when unfolded. The common tensile strength grade of prestressed steel strands is 1860 MPa, and the tensile strength of prestressed steel strands also has strength grades such as 1720 MPa, 1770 MPa, and 1960 MPa. The yield strength of this kind of prestressed steel strand is also higher.
It is made of high-carbon steel wire rods, which are cold-drawing into steel wires after surface treatment. Then a certain number of steel wires are twisted into strands according to the prestressed steel strand structure, and then undergo a stress-relieving stabilization process. To extend durability, steel wires can be coated with metallic or non-metallic coatings or coatings, such as galvanizing, epoxy coating, etc. In order to increase the grip with concrete, the surface can be scored. The molded prestressed steel strands undergo a mold compression process after stranding, making the structure more dense and the surface layer more suitable for anchorage grip. To make unbonded prestressed steel strands, ordinary prestressed steel strands are coated with anti-corrosion grease or paraffin and then wrapped with high-density polyethylene.
